Team FLEXR/ Running Center has had a great season of training and races so far in 2011. Pictured in the photo to the right (from left to right: Jessica Brothers, Glenn Racz, Alisa Rodgers, Sergio Gonzalez, Morgan Sjogren, David Edwards, Joey Bonfiglio, Okwaro Raura, Nina Miller, and David Kloz), this group of runners trains every day together in a variety of places around San Diego County, most frequently at the Cal State San Marcos track. While training is something they take very seriously, they always make sure to have a good time while running together. This sense of camaraderie translates into local races, as the members of Team FLEXR/ Running Center are always there to support their fellow teammates.

Last weekend at the San Diego Rock N Roll Marathon, many of these athletes showed up to support/ pace Sergio Gonzalez in the half marathon. Without their support, there is no doubt Sergio wouldn't have done as well as he did. He ended up finishing 5th overall in a field that was as talented as this race had ever seen.

A few days later, David Edwards was participating in the San Diego Sub-4 Minute Mile time trials at Cathedral Catholic High School. Almost everyone from Team FLEXR/ Running Center showed up to help in some way, shape or form.  Ken and Sergio helped pace David during the race, while Morgan, Jessica, and the others cheered them on from the stands. David ended up running a 4:07 mile, but that is an excellent time considering the soft track and swirling winds. With the support and motivation from the other athletes of Team FLEXR/ Running Center, we are confident that David will break the 4 minute barrier in no time.

We at FLEXR would like to personally thank all the athletes of Team FLEXR/ Running Center for their continuous support of our brand and products. It has been great teaming up with each of you, and we are confident that things are only going to get better for all of us in the upcoming months.  Go FLEXR!!!
