FLEXR Sports- Never Wash Your Water Bottle Again!

Last week in the Chicago Tribune, an interesting article was posted by Judy Hevrdejs called "Drink up, scrub up: Wash your portable water bottle daily." The issue being discussed was the importance of washing your plastic, reusable water bottle in order to avoid bacteria build-up and bad taste (if you have a plastic water bottle that you use frequently, you know this can be a problem). Dr. Georges Benjamin, an expert when dealing with bacteria, suggests washing these types of bottles at least once a day:

"People have to remind themselves that those bottles are just like their glasses and plates and other dishware at home. They need to be cleaned.. hot, soapy water will do the job. You may need a brush or other utensil to actually clean the places in the corners, particularly in the bottom and around the tops and the insides of the lids."

Hand-washing your bottles can be a pain though, even if you have a good brush to clean areas your hands can't reach. If you'd rather use the dishwasher method, you also have to be careful because some plastics can melt or leach out chemicals that may be hazardous. No matter how you go about washing them, most reusable plastic bottles will be difficult to keep clean and use safely without making a serious effort to eliminate bacteria.

However, we at FLEXR have created a unique product that can be a solution to this bottle-washing dilemma. With our eco-friendly bottles you will never have to worry about washing your water bottle again! Our replacable, fully-biodegradable liners allow your bottle to be "day one fresh" every time. Instead of soaking or bleaching your water bottles, all you need to do is replace the liner (and rinse out the cap every once in a while) and your FLEXR bottle will be good to go! Our bottles are 100% BPA-free and made in the USA, so you shouldn't have to worry about ever buying another water bottle again. Visit our online store and order yourself a FLEXR bottle today!
